Join BCMF on this meaningful journey towards language revitalization. Our efforts focus on preserving and revitalizing the Michif-French language — a unique linguistic treasure that holds profound Métis cultural significance.

Whether you're a fluent speaker, a learner, or someone eager to contribute, there are various ways to get involved.

Mentor-Apprentice Program

The Mentor-Apprentice Program (MAP) facilitates the development of new fluent Michif speakers. Fluent speakers (Mentors) and committed learners (Apprentices) are invited to apply to participate in this language immersion program, which will take place in or near their community.
